Your story of <date of story> on <subject of story> was truly an example of peerless journalism and reporting skill. Now if you just could have gotten the facts straight! Contrary to what <writer’s name> suggested in the article, <correct facts>. I don’t know who your sources were, but someone got his wires crossed and printed some laughable “facts.” I hope you’ll do some checking into this matter and if it turns out that I’m right (which I am), run a correction, an apology, a plea for mercy, or something contrite.
