Donation letter is written to inform about the details of donation and the purpose of donation to a particular organization or individual. The letter should be well written to get the donation from the reader.

Donation letter should be written on letter head and needs to be formal.

In first paragraph introduces yourself and your organization.

Second paragraph should include about the details of event that is going to be organized and give example about how the past donation has helped in specific cases.

Let the reader know about your plans to use the donation. When you give a systematic account of all these details, it is sure to impress the reader and the letters can become more effective.

Keep the tone of the letters polite and courteous. As you are signing off remember to thank the readers for their time and effort in going through your letter.
