Dr. Joe Mantle, a friend from Eugene University, called to inform me of an opening at the Institute for someone specializing in the study of chimpanzees. He also indicated that the work would mean moving to Africa. I am extremely interested in such a position and have enclosed my resume for your review.

I believe that the credentials detailed on my resume demonstrate that I would be an excellent choice. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed my years of research at San Jose Wildlife Institute and at Eugene University, I was never more satisfied and productive than during the six months I spent doing fieldwork in Zambia. Also, there are no obstacles to my moving to Africa and I would certainly consider it an honor to work for the Institute for Primate Studies.
