In response to your recent advertisement for a bindery manager in the Washington Post, I am enclosing my resume and a list of references to begin the application process.

As my resume indicates, I have an A.A. in Graphic Arts and was promoted quickly from bindery worker to bindery supervisor. As a supervisor, the most challenging project I faced was working with the bindery manager to select the technology and plan the transition to computer-controlled bindery equipment and then take full responsibility for implementing that transition. I mastered operation of the new technology, prepared training materials and delivered the training. I believe that this experience in project management, together with the courses I have completed in operations management, makes me a strong candidate for the bindery manager position at Beale and Sons.
