Tom Williams, a speech pathologist at your hospital, faxed me yesterday the posting for a staff audiologist at your hospital. For some time now, I have wanted to join the staff of Charlotte University Hospital and to conduct research as well as fulfilling other responsibilities. I am therefore enclosing my resume for your review.

I have several years of experience as an audiologist and 2 years of experience as an audiology research assistant. Largely because of this latter position, I determined to make applied research a part of my career.
