A character reference letter is one that attempts to explain the impressionable characteristics of an individual to seek approval for hiring him. It is usually drafted by an applicant’s referee who goes on to assure the new employer of his new employee’s good character.

Dear Sir,
In reference to Mr. Brian O’Hara’s application, I hereby guarantee you of his wonderful personality as a seasoned curator who has great knowledge and interactive skills and a seven year experience at the helm with proven results on his creative abilities. In the last seven years he has proposed and after our approval implemented specific changes that have gone a long way in improving the services of our residence and won us accolades in the process. Based on these few facts we are reluctant to let him go but since he is doing so at his own accord, we highly recommend him and should you feel any need any additional information, we will accord it without delay.
Yours truly,
Mathew MacDonald.
