Sub: Request for donation
Dear Mr. Jackman,
Buttercup Charity is involved in several philanthropic activities. One such event that we are currently working on is the Fund Raiser for the Blind. I am writing to you on behalf of the Buttercup Charity. The event is scheduled to take place on 11th October 2010. This event would have close to 1000 members participating from all over the world. We are currently in the process of raising sponsorship amounts for the event.
I have approached you knowing that your company is also actively involved in several CSR activities involving the blind. Also given the popularity of your company we could work together to make it a mutually beneficial situation for both of us.
Our sponsors will receive adequate media coverage; will also find a mention in all the promotions for the fund raiser. Enclosed is the donation form that will have to be returned to us duly filled and signed along with the cheque. I do hope you will be able to partner us in this huge event and help improve the lives of several. Your company will also be eligible for a tax deduction on this donation.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours truly,
Mark Robinson
