Dear Mr. Ghosh,
I write to you this letter to appeal for the extension of the deadline for submission of entries to your group’s photography contest. My students have prepared a lot for this competition and they have also worked hard to be able to capture the best photos they could send as entries to the contest. Unfortunately, the camera they have used to shoot the said photos were damaged due to strong rains last week. The photos have not yet been retrieved and the camera is still under repair at a repair shop. The repair will last this week and so we will not be able to meet your deadline. I do hope that you would consider extending your deadline for entries. We have been regularly joining your activities and my students are really passionate about your cause.
