Dear Mr. Arora,
I happily received your letter last month informing me that I have been accepted for admission into your college for the coming academic year. I am sad to inform you that I fell ill last week and was recently diagnosed to have tuberculosis. I have to undergo several more laboratory tests to finalize the diagnosis after which I will need to be hospitalized for a month for medication. My illness is already at an advanced stage thus the need to have me hospitalized. Due to my condition, my doctors have advised that I have bed rest for the duration of the medication.
In this regard, I would like to request that my admission be deferred for the next academic year. I am currently incapable of enrolling this year but still wish to pursue studies at your school.
Thank you and I hope for your consideration.
Respectfully,
Mr. Rahul Saini
