After several years of experience as a furniture hardware assembler at a small, but reputable company in Nashua, I am seeking a supervisory position in the same field. Robert Winston, a friend of mine who does business with your company, suggested that I contact you. I am therefore enclosing my resume for your review in the hope that there may be an appropriate opening at your firm or that you may be able to recommend other well-respected furniture manufacturers for me to contact.

In addition to doing the finish work on hardware for a variety of wooden furniture pieces, I have gained experience in training new workers and handling supervisory responsibilities when my supervisor was away from the shop. I have also completed college courses in management and supervision.
