I would like to respond to your notice in the Forest Service Newsletter that there will be a job opening for a fire ranger in the Albany area within a few months. I am definitely interested in this position and am enclosing my resume for your review.
I have worked with the Forestry Service for over 10 years, building a very good reputation with my co-workers and supervisors (as enclosed reference letters indicate). I have served successfully as crew leader on several large fires and am skilled in training assistant rangers. Because I want to stay on the “cutting edge” in my field, I regularly complete courses offered by the Forestry Service and the National Fire Academy.
