I would hereby like to submit a request for my release from the position of high school biology teacher to be effective on 6th September 2010. This decision was prompted by the fact that I have received an offer to do my Ph.D at California State University, a chance that will help me further in my career .
Working in your school was an immensely enriching experience for me. Training young and bright minds is a rewarding experience and it is with utmost regret that I announce my departure.
I am prepared to carry out my current duties until the said date of resignation. I realize my request will pass through the school board’s approval and I will be waiting to hear from you.
