Subject: Request for researching on Discovery of Nuclear Fission
For the EPD 397 project I have, I am asking your permission to undertake and study project in which the credit has awarded for discovery of the nuclear fission. Even tough Otto Hahn obtained the 1946 Nobel Prize for the discovery; many people claims that Fritz Strassman and Lise Meitner should also receive the credit.
In my research, I am planning to research on how the credit has been presented. Moreover, I should also ensure that this topic would meet all the standards for a successful project in this course. As I am nuclear engineering student, I consider that researching on this topic can improve my knowledge as well as view on the discovery of the nuclear fission. I am also attaching a summary with this memo.
