I am writing to you on behalf of the Buttercup charity. We are actively involved in several philanthropic activities especially revolving around children’s education. We are currently organizing a charity event to raise funds for the underprivileged children and to support their higher education needs.
The annual charity auction event is scheduled to take place at Moonlight Hotel on September 4th, 2010. There will be close to 500 guests attending this annual event. This charity auction event has been running successfully for 5 years now and we do hope it will go on for many more years to come. The event also receives great coverage from the local media.
I am writing to you to request you to donate a gift certificate or items that can be auctioned off. The proceeds from the auction will be used to support the noble cause of education for the underprivileged.
Apart from this your organization will also be mentioned in all our promotional materials as sponsors. You will also receive media coverage and there will be a tax deduction applicable on your donation.
